1st job = kick ass
2nd job = decent
3rd job = weakest class of all
4th job = kick ass

I was comparing mages to other classes, not mages vs mages. I also wasn't comparing training. All mages begin to train fast in 3rd job.

With proper use of poison brace F/Ps are still good at 2nd.

And I have a lot of questions, be ready. (Yes you, Fail)

• How hard are they to level? - depends on you, really, I took 4 years to get to level 84
• Are they hard to fund? - again, depends on you, if you're a merchanting hoar then you'll be fine
• When do they really get exciting - eh, as soon as you can freeze stuff because the LOL WUT factor of the frozen faces is amaaazing.
• Can I have help from fellow HSers if I started in a new server? - no use asking me, I'm in EMS.
• Do they get strong before 70? - Depends on your gear.
• Do they usually get in CPQ easily? - Not unless you have max lightning cuz then you can mob like the crazies.
• Do they need a lot of attention to level? - depends on how much you want to play them, they're a good casual class for lazy people
• Is it a pretty straightforward build? - aye
• Is 4th job Skill nooks expensive? - again, EMS, we do not has 4th job yet.
• Are they expensive to go Lukless? - Probably no more than any other mage but you'll look fugly for your entire maple career.

The cynical ice mage enters the fray, lol. They are a really nice class and don't actually need that much attention, but I suppose it depends on your attitude towards Maple and levelling. They are easy to level once you max lightning cuz you can mob 6 at a time but if you're a freak and go ice first, they take a while. But ice first will give you more money, I've always found, cuz you can hunt bigger monsters earlier (provided they can freeze) and go drop hunting. You can do werewolves at 5x, for god's sake, that's really fun :3
