Not on my computer. And I just noticed something about the card you posted. It's DDR2, not DDR3. I think I'll stick with what I found on BestBuy.

    $5 off :D

still, if your computer is one or two years old it might fail on your in the next 3 or 4 years.

but you can get a hell of a card and power supply for less then $200

I'm going to college next year. I don't need the best card and supply ever, but I also don't want to downgrade. I just need an inexpensive upgrade to my 8500GT and 300W supply.

that is actually a good system. Now you have an AMD mobo, you could potentially go with ATI cards which are cheeper for the same specs. You can also do Crossfire (which combines two GPU's powers)

Interesting. Could you reccommend a card?

Anyways I found this 8600GT for 54 bucks, a step above from a 8500GT. DDR3, x16, doesn't require a 6-pin power connector etc. The card requires a 350W PSU it claims so this Thermaltake 430w PSU looks solid for $41 bucks, free shipping. NOS and others can come post on this but if you wanted to spend more money on a card you could... I don't know how far they go before bottle necking.

While I do have a budget, I feel springing for a 200 series would be much better than an 8000 series o even 9000. And that's just NVidia. I am eager to hear more about ATI.
