i hear that if you know english you can actually learn to read korean within a day. youll have no idea what youre reading and what it means but youll be able to read it.

Completely off topic, but you're probably right, zig.
There's only 20something symbols that are combined to form syllables, and each syllable is read very linearly (top left to bottom right).
Understanding is different. lol.
