Please always be as specific as possible. More details can help, as long as it pertains to the problem. Please avoid CAPS and short-hand writing. You are the one with the problem, so do not be lazy and shorten words. We understand your frustrations, but we also have other obligations, so we will get to you as soon as possible.

Also, please adhere to the community rules. If you have problems with illegally downloading copyrighted material, then DO NOT make a thread. You have been warned.

Please include the following IN ADDITION to the background and description of the problem(s):
  1. Operating System (Windows 7, Ubuntu, etc.)
  2. Motherboard model and BIOS version (Intel BOXDP55KG v1331, ASUS Crosshair III Formula BIOS 1105, etc.)
  3. Processor model (Intel i5-750, AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition, etc.)
  4. Amount of RAM and type of RAM if known (1024MB, 4GB DDR2, etc.)
  5. DirectX Version (DirectX 10, DirectX 11, etc.)
  6. Graphics card model (EVGA GeForce GTX 275 CO-OP, SAPPHIRE Vapor-X Radeon HD 5770 1GB, etc.)
  7. Full Error Message (Blue Screen of Death STOP Error 0x0000000A: IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL, GameGuard Initialization fail (Error code 114), etc.)
  8. Any recent installations, updates, etc. performed BEFORE the problem occurred
  9. The program name and version number (Call of DUty: Modern Warfare 2 1.0.4.742, MapleStory 0.73, etc.)


If you are using a Windows operating system, then 1-5 can be found by going to the Start menu, clicking on "Run," typing "dxdiag" in the box, and clicking "Ok."

Please note that all of these are just some of the details you can include in your thread. Please do not limit yourself to the above list, and if there are more details not specified above, please provide it as long as it pertains to the problem.

Also, please note that not all of these may apply. For example, if you have a computer built by HP, then chances are you will not know the motherboard model or the BIOS version. If that is the case, then please list the full model of your pre-built computer. Another example is if you do not have a graphics card, then you do not have to list it.

Lastly, please use your mind. If you have trouble opening Notepad, we do not need your MapleStory version number.
