New information has been released from Nexon about MapleStory DS.
In 2009 I reported that MapleStory DS would be released in January 2010, but now their decision is final.

The game is scheduled to launch in Korea on April 15, 2010.

MapleStory DS is a DS adaption of the popular online game MapleStory.
The game is developed by Nexon in cooperation with Nintendo.

This handheld version will feature the four original jobs: a Warrior, Thief, Archer and Magician.
Each character will have their own storyline.

MapleStory DS is not an online game, but it sort of connects with it, by including codes for exclusive virtual items.

The estimated price for MapleStory DS will be around $35.
A special edition bundle with a Nintendo DSi & MapleStory DS will be available for around $205.

There is currently no release date known for America or Europe.

It’s almost April 15, which is the date that Nintendo Korea will launch the Nintendo DSi and MapleStory DS in South Korea.

A new page for MapleStory DS has been created on the Korean Nintendo website.
On the page you can find information about MapleStory DS and other material such as TV Commercials and gameplay videos.

I downloaded all the TV commercials and introduction movies and merged them in one video file.

This handheld version will feature the four original jobs: Warrior, Thief, Archer and Magician.

You couldn't get an English Aran screenshot? Don't forget that there's no Cygnus either. Still, this is pretty neat. I wonder if a PSP version would be better though.

Forced Characters (I dislike the characters faces/hair and it looks like you can't change them)

This game already looks like crap.

Pirates suck
What can you expect from the graphics in a game from a handheld system, and they already have some 3d Cutscenes eating up space. (although i do agree, compared to online maple)
