That's actually very very good because it seems that skelegons are strong to dark element:

Look at his damage on skeles vs the golems. It's obvious that they're strong to his attack which means that if DF stayed dark, Evans wouldn't have an ulti to use on skeles. They're already at a disadvantage for DF because it doesn't hit below them. The Evan's ulti is pretty nerfed.

That kinda sucks. Makes sense though. A monster that's Holy-weak has to be Dark-resistant, no?
Also, it really does seem nerfed. Why the hell isn't it a fullscreen AOE typo of attack, like the other Ultimates? And the fact that you get it at lvl 160 is also a discouragement.

Would using Elemental Reset (maxed) offset the damage reduction from using an incorrect Ele Weapon? Say I used an E8 (lightning) for a fire move, but used Ele Reset. Would it just produce normal damage?
Right now I have an E7, E8, and access to an E5. However, I also have 25 base luk (and with my HT pendant, I could equip a Doomsday later on). Would it be better to switch around my Ewands for different skills and reset my base luk when I hit 120, or keep my base luk and equip a Doomsday staff at 120? Either option would cost roughly the same (A well scrolled DD is probably about equal to 21 full price AP resets).

    Spoiler!

The animation for DF is amazing but fail range and fail cooldown.

If it works like the BW ER, then it won't offset the negative damage bonus.
The skill is still considered "Fire", it's just that on Fire strong mobs, the "-50%" bonus gets reduced up to -0% (maxed). If you see on Fire IMMUNE mobs, the BW attacks will still do 1 damage, therefore their attacks are still considered "Fire" attacks.
