Input needed on builds...

I've -only- played a spearman so far, and I'm at a bit of a loss as to how to build a mage, but I would like to take a swing at Evan when he launches. Obviously I won't get definitive answers, but any insights would be appreciated.

A couple of specific questions on my mind at this moment:
Booster seems like a skill that will be required in all builds, but what else is 100% needed?
How should I choose which skills to take?
With the number of skills this guy gets, should I be maxing spells or moving onwards and upwards as quickly as possible?

You basically will end up maxing all your skills in the respective "jobs".
You get SP from quests as well as from leveling, so

This SP build makes no sense to me. He marks the same level twice many times. He also says that you can max the skills with 15 points in them. From what I have seen, each of the skills maxes out at 20. 10 levels is 30 points, but you;d need 40 to max both skills in each growth.

Also, important to know. You can gain skill points from many quests to help you MAX skills that you would not normally be able to max. Special to the Evan class.

No you get SP points from quests.
You can max out all the skills in that guide.
And you get a LOT of SP from quests.

Is there any advantage to doing Dragon's Soul first? I tried doing 1 in the missile with 10 soul and it seems entirely useless. I personally would do max missile first next time.

I dunno. Everyone says get Dragon Soul first, so I was like "Okay".
I guess it's because the game spoonfeeds you to level 15, which is when you should max DSoul.

Well, if you have a good BotF, then Soul is probably less necessary. But really, you don;t spend a lot of time in the under 20 period, so it won't matter much.

My build so far has been -

Max soul
Max Missle
1 tele, 2 circle
Max Circle
Max Teleport
1 bolt 2 guard
Max Guard
Max Bolt

I did the same, but I maxed Bolt first since Guard you don't really need until past 40.

Yes, you're suppose to do this

I went missile first, mainly due to the fact that my Blessing gave 30 magic already I can hold off on the 20 more while I get a stronger magic attack.
