I just got back into Runescape. Started a new account because I have no idea what's going on with EoC and why my main is suddenly max level. And all his tradable items are gone.
I got used to the "new" combat pretty quickly, because the only thing new are more attacks to use while you're attacking, that's pretty much it. It does make being a mage more appealing though.

They neglected range by not providing enough abilities. There are 4 or 5 types of range weapons in the game and 2 or 3 of those have only 1-2 abilities associated with them. It's to the point where if you want decent xp/h combat-wise these days you have to use the abilities. The momentum ability which makes your auto attack stronger is only good for magic and long slayer tasks. Overall, they made some items completely useless. The prices of things that used to be very hard to come by have been crashed by goldfarmers. But, the introduction of the old-school servers was a good move on Jagex's part and I'm enjoying the challenge of playing without OP potions, abilties, and equipment again.
