    [1.0]: Introduction
    -------------------------

MapleStory is a 2D side-scrolling MMORPG. It allows
you to chat with other players. The game is mostly
    based on grinding, so grind!

There are 4 Class in MapleStory generally called:

Magician: This class is based on long-ranged magic
attacks and carries the most MP in the game.

Bowman: This class uses arrows and attack on the
enemy's weak point. Critical attacks are their
    best suit.

Warrior: The most strongest one-hitter in the
game. Use a large span of weapons including
spears, blunt, and more. Contains the most
    HP in the game.

Thief: The best sneak-attackers in the game. They
avoid the monster's the most, so it lead to
assassination to the enemy. Some named as the
    quickest in MapleStory.

If you want to be a Thief and you're reading this
guide. If you're not, please hit the back button.
This guide is for Thieves only.

    **********************************************
    [1.1]: Why a Thief?
    Pros:

-The Thief class has the most avoidability and
    accuracy is high.
    - Their weapons looks cooler.

-Jump attacks are more effective than other
    classes.

-Cool graphics when using a skill and
in 2nd Job, has Haste which EVERYBODY loves.

-The most famous class or secondary, just famous

    Cons:

    -Usually called the KSers.

    -Disliked by other people

    -Just hell yeah expensive.

-Can be very unstable if not careful

Most people just choose Thief for its looks
and cool graphics or they're just used to
    long-ranged jump attack. Peace.

    ********************************************
    [1.2]: Bandit or Assassin?
    ---------------------------------------
The most annoying question i came against...

Wanna be a Bandit or Assassin?

Read on to find one that suits you:
    * No offense to the Fans of the Way of the Claw

    Pros of the (Cool) Bandit:
    - More Stable
    - Savage Blow rocks and its 100% graphic-cool
    - (Sometimes) Dagger looks cooler
    - Scrolls for Dagger are cheaper than Scrolls for Claw
    - Shadowers have the best graphics in skill
    - Hermit skills are kinda lame

    Cons of the Bandit:
    - No mob skills until the third job
    - It's not long-ranged
    - MP waster
    - Have to walk toward the enemy to damage it
    - Very tactical

Pros of the Assassin (Assassin 2nd and 3rd Job sucks):
    - Lucky Seven 20MP > Savage Blow 27 MP
    - Bloody ranged
    - Jump-attackers love this class
    - Gets into Party Quest more
    - 3rd job has Flash Jump (Which i want)
    - level quickly during PQ periods
    - Stars can hit more than daggers
    - Can be more powerful than Bandits at level 31-40(
    due to Critical Throw)

    Cons of the Assassin:
    - Too common
    - Insulted the most
    - L7 gets boring until 4th Job
    - Stars and claws cost like HELL
    - Only a few skills in 3rd job is good
    - Without a Critical damage, they are useless
    - Very horrible in close-range
    - Weaker and less skillful sins sucks in Monster Carnival

    Now you get to choose...

    Ah, a *your answer*

My opinion: Assassins only own Bandits during the first 10
levels of 2nd Job. Bandits FTW!

If you chose to be a Assassin, please get the HELL outta here.
I'm kidding about:'HELL', but please, i don't want to waste
your time. If you chose Bandit, let's rock the house!

    READ ON!

    [1.3]: STR or LUK Bandit?
    ----------------------------
    Ah another question.....

Being a STR or LUK Bandit?

    Here's the point:

    STR:
STR Bandit is less common than LUK Bandits due to the lack of
LUK:which means they have less damage. But that sacrifice
leads to more stable damage and able to save some serious
money. :) By the way, their daggers requires DEX and STR.

    LUK:
Mostly found Bandits. They are better in damage compared
to STR Bandits, but less stable. They also cost kinda
a lot if you ask me. These guys,well,...
Whatever. These Bandits uses daggers that requires
    DEX and LUK.

Choose the Bandit you are and read...
    ******************************************
    [1.4]: Funded or Unfunded?
    ---------------------------
Give me a break on questions!

Oh, this question is simple. Someone who's funded
will able to buy more greater equips because they
give this character a supply of money to be more
    successful.
Someone who is unfunded earns their own money on the character
so they get no support for them. They use more noobish equips
    than richer Bandits.

Throughout the guide,I will be making sure what equips suit you
    right: for Funded and Unfunded.
    *******************************************
    [1.5]: Enough Questions!
    ---------------------------
    GAME OVER FOR QUESTIONS!
    YEAH!
    ****************************************
    [2.0]: Starting out
    ---------------------------
Once you logged on to the magical world of MapleStory,
make your character. Choose your server wisely.
    Here's my stat recommendations:

    STR Bandit:
    STR: X
    DEX: X
    INT: 4/5
    LUK: X

The Xs stands for anything you want. Basically, the STR,
DEX and LUK doesn't matter to STR Bandits since STR would
    reduce the damage range.

    LUK Bandits:
    STR: 4/5
    DEX: X
    INT: 4/5
    LUK: X

This time, the key to LUK Bandits is to have less INT and
STR,so DEX and LUK would be as high as possible due to the fact
that their dagger requires no STR and lots of LUK.

If you want the best of the best Bandit in the game, I suggest
you be patient. Try to keep the 4/5 stats to 4 due to how it
might push one of your important stats back a point or so.

Once you made your character, click OK and click Log In
Character. Now take the Training Camp and do every quest
in it. Once finish, get outta there. Here's my training
    suggestions:

1~4: Stay in the Training Camp and kill the tutorial monsters

5~10: Well, now it's all snails. Your only chance is to
kill Snails,Blue Snails and Shrooms since your damage
    isn't high.

*I suggest to do every quest you CAN do without wasting too
much time unless you have maxed Three Snails and have loads
of Red Snail Shells. Once done, get 150 mesos or halfway
    finish For A New World.

Try to do Bigg's Collection of items and pray for a
Fruit Knife. A razor still works fine. If you are not
funded, you don't need to buy and get a Fruit Knife,
but a Razor would be useful.

    Time to move on!
    ***********************************************
    [2.1]: Rogue Advancement
    ----------------------------
    Yeah!

Celebrate the end of your weak Beginner life. Now
find Shanks and give him 150 mesos or nothing (after
you talked to Lucas from the quest:For a New World)

He will bring you to the big land of Victoria Island.
Make sure you have some spare mesos on you because
after the ride to Victoria, find Phil and pay him
100 mesos for a ride to Kerning City. Now try to
find a large building with a door with the words
atop of it: Fusion (Jazz) Bar.

If you can't find it, ask some other fellow Maplers
    to help you.

Now Enter the building and walk toward the toilet.
Look carefully at it and you'll find a ladder. Climb
down and talk to the guy hanging upside-down or
Dark Lord. Be aware that you must have 25 DEX and
LV 10 to advance to the Thief class.

Ask him about the 1st Job Advancement and click YES.

    Wa-lah! You're a Rogue now and remember,Rogue,not
    Rouge.

*Dark Lord now gives you weapons for Rogues.

    ******************************************
    [2.2]: AP Distribution
    ----------------------------
*The STR Bandit AP distribution is unsure since
    i don't play STR Bandits

    STR:

1~19: Get your STR to 10, DEX doubled and the rest
    into LUK.

20++: Now you need your STR 10 points lower than your
level. Like most thieves, DEX must be doubled. The
rest of your points go to LUK.

    LUK:

1~12: First make your DEX to 25 and for the rest,
    into LUK

13~40: Your DEX must be doubled your level from now
on. The rest of your points go to LUK.

41+: Now you have to add 1 point into DEX and 4 into
    LUK for every level onwards.

    There, now that's done.
    ******************************************
    [2.3]: 1st Job SP Distribution
    ----------------------------

    Now for the original build:
    Level 10: 1 Double Stab(1)
    Level 11: 3 Double Stab(4)
    Level 12: 3 Double Stab(7)
    Level 13: 3 Double Stab(10)
    Level 14: 3 Double Stab(13)
    Level 15: 3 Double Stab(16)
    Level 16: 3 Double Stab(19)

    Level 28: 3 Dark Sight(12)
    Level 29: 3 Dark Sight(15)
    Level 30: 3 Dark Sight(18)

Yeah, that's pretty much the build!
    ****************************************
    [2.4]: 1st Job Gear
    ----------------------------

10~14: If you want to save money, stick with your
newbie clothes. If not, buy the Dark Alley set.
If funded or have NX, buy a Pan Lid. If unfunded,
get a Stolen Fence. At level 12,and funded, get a
Triangular Zamadar. The unfunded, stick with
the Beginner Thief Short Sword that Dark Lord
    gave you.

15~19: Now get the Level 15 set. Both funded
and unfunded need to get the Field Dagger. If
you don't want a Field Knife and is a LUK Bandit,
continue with the Zamadar or Short Sword until
level 18. Now get yourself a shiny Triple-tipped
Zamadar. Earrings are optional' cause they're no
use in early levels. If you haven't, get yourself
the shoe from Self-Defence for level 11, as it gives
    you some speed bonus.

20~24: Ah. Now change into the level 20 set. For you STR Bandits,
get the Coconut Knife. LUK Bandits, get the Stinger at
level 22. Funded, try to get a Black Phoenix Shield,
Maple Shield, or a wristguard because these shields
will be useful. If unfunded, switch into Pan Lid.

25~29: Get the Level 25 set! Okay, it's ugly. Then get NX
to cover it, sheesh. Well, most people starts to
replace it with bathrobes, so go for it. STR Bandits,
get the Iron Dagger. LUK, get the Forked Dagger at
level 27. Now get the Brown Bamboo Hat ASAP. It has
the same weapon defense as the Pao Hat, but also
gives you a 3 LUK Bonus! Sweet!

*The level 30+ gears is in the 2nd Job Gears section
    ************************************************** *
    [2.5]: 1st Job Training Spots
    ---------------------------
10~15: Go to the "Tree That Grew I" or "Henesys Hunting
Ground I" and stay at the slimes and snails.

15~20: Henesys Party Quest (or HPQ) is now very good
for your level. If you are poor, stay at HHG I. If you
have good money, go to Pig Beach.

20~25: Stay at Pig Beach until level 23. At level 23,
go to Ant Tunnel I or do Kerning City Party Quest.
Only go to AT I if you can't get in KPQ.

25~30: More KPQ please. If you still can't get in,
your only bet is The Land of Wild Boars. The boars
will give you about 0.4/5% at level 29,so it's worth
it staying there. Just look out for Jr. Boogies.

    Congratulation, you're level 30!
    ************************************************** *
    [3.0]: Becoming a Bandit
    --------------------------
    Boom-boom! Boom-boom!
Look out! It's the level 30 Rogue!

Well, congrats on being level 30, but the
adventure won't end yet. Time for the moment
you've been waiting for. Now go to Dark Lord back
at Kerning City. Ask him about 2nd Job.
Tough luck-'cause you gotta pass a test.
Now receive his letter. Now go 2 maps east of
Kerning. Walk up the construction site until you
reached the 2nd Job Instructor. Now take his test:

He is having trouble killing the monsters that spawn there.
Your duty is to kill them and retrieve 30 Dark Marbles
from them. Make sure you have enough potions.
Once you got 30 Dark Marbles, talk to the instructor
and give the marbles to him in exchange for the
Proof of Hero. Once you get the Proof, go back to
Dark Lord and give him it. Now ask him about 2nd
Job and choose to change class. Now select Bandit and
    click YES.
    CONGRATS!

*The Dark Sight at level 60 was just a joke
or to some people, a bad time to max it

    There...that's done!
    *********************************************
    [3.2]: 2nd Job Gears:
    --------------------------

30~34: Get a Blue/Red Sauna Robe or the Stealer set.
Reef Claw for the LUK and Cass for the STR. LUK,
at level 32 you can switch to Halfmoon Zamadar.
If possible, get a Leaf Earring to reduce MP
    potion usage.

35~39: Get the Knucklevest or Avenger set, but stick with
the Brown Bamboo Hat. Both STR and LUK Bandits
can stick with their current dagger or change
to the Korean Fan. If sticking to the Korean
Fan for over 10 levels, i recommend to scroll
    it.

40~49: Time to say good-bye to your bamboo hat.
Now time to replace it with a Plifer. Get the
Shadow Set. If your K-Fan isn't scrolled, change your
dagger to Bazlud if STR or Dragon Toenail if LUK.
If you have a scrolled K-Fan, you can keep it for
another 10 levels or 3 if you have a Maple Wagner.
    I used my K-Fan until i was level 60.:D

50~59: If your K-Fan was properly scrolled with 60%
Weapon ATT. Scrolls, you can skip the dagger change
for level 50~59. Other than that, get the China/Moon Set.
STR get the Sai while LUK get the Shinkita. You can
go to Showa for a Bushido at level 55. :D

60~69: Now get the Scorpio set. Then, change into the
Serpent's Coil/Deadly Fin. Now get the Identity. If you
can or funded, get the level 60 dagger scrolled with 60%.
Unfunded should have a Maple Shield by now.

*70+ Equips is in the 3rd Job Gears
** The Spielgamann's Necklace is recommended.
    *************************************************
    [3.3]: 2nd Job Training Spot
    ___________________________

30~39: For my experience, i would say to train at
Wild Boars or Fire Boars due to the lack of good
monsters (during my time). I would recommend
CPQ at the level 35+. It gives major EXP if you
    do it correctly.

40~50: I would stay at Fire Boars, but it will be
very boring. You can start to train at Zombie Lupins
or if you do major damage, go for Copper Drakes. CPQ
is now very recommended if you want to run through
    this stage.

51~60: Now, it's time for OPQ or LMPQ. They offer good
experience and rewards. Zombie Lupins, Extra A,B, and C,
Jr. Yetis, Dark/Regular Stone Golem works fine.

61~70: Basically, i hate this part because you have to stay
at Minor Zombies, Hectors, Jr. Yetis, etc. The only good thing
is that your damage is good by now. Just try to find a monster
that you can 1-2HKO and gives at least 0.4% experience.

Well, if you're done with this part, pat yourself on the
    back! Congrats!
    **************************************************
    [4.0]: Into the Chief Bandit
    ----------------------------
Happy? Want to be stronger? You got it!

Now we move on to 3rd Job. Another test? Yes,
I'm afraid so. Make that 2. Who cares. Let's
end the life of a Bandit and become a Chief
    Bandit.

Fist, go to El Nath and enter the largest building
on the cliff. Enter and make your way to i think
his name was Arec. Oh well, there's Thief Job
Instructor under his name so don't miss him.

Ask him about 3rd job and he will give you 2 tests:
A strength and a mental test. He will ask you to
head to Dark Lord to give you the test.

    Back to Kerning you go!

Once you talked to Dark Lord, he will tell you to
go through the Door of Dimension. It's located in
    Monkey Swamp II*.

Once located, talk to the door and you will go through
to another dimension. Go through the hall and enter the
portal. Now don't jump the cliff yet, boy/girl. Buff
    up and jump.

There will stand Dark Lord's clone. Kill him within
20 minutes. Try to strike his back as he will shoot
stars at you if in front. Once in a while, he will
    summon 2 Touromasic.

Handle the slaves later. Once Dark Lord dies, collect
the charm and kill the Touromasics. Now climb the rope
on the right and talk to the Sparkling Rocks.

It will teleport you directly to Kerning city, so you
don't have to worry about potions. You should be glad,
for you don't need to fight anymore. Talk to Dark
Lord and trade the charm for the Necklace of Strength.

Now head back to the instructor in El Nath. Give him
the Necklace and prepare the 2nd test. Now get 1 Dark
Crystal(Refined) and go to the Holy Ground at
Snowfield (check hidden-street if you don't know where
    is it).

Pass the test. Hidden-street will give you the answers.

The rock will give you the Necklace of Wisdom. Now hurry
to Arec and give the shiny medal to him. Now ask to get
your 3rd Job and click YES.

WOOHOO! You're a Chief Bandit. Now use that 1 SP on
anything you desire or follow my build. Well, let's
make the best Chief Bandit you can make!

Well, here's my skill build for Chief Bandits.
Also my last skill build, too.

    *********************************************
    [4.2]: 3rd Job Gears
    ---------------------------

70~79: Get the Studded Set ONLY if you are
funded. If your current dagger is scrolled
    with 60%, you won't need a Kandine/Golden
    River.

80~89: Get the Pirate Set. Now switch your
dagger to a perfectly 60% scrolled Dragon
    Tail/ Angelic Betrayal.

90+: Well, i am sad to say that the rest
of the equips is up to you now since the
    90+ armors/weapons is not a big difference.
My last weapon was the Blood Dagger
    (Level 100)

    Sorry, guys/girls, i can't help you guys
from now on since the equips are not a big
    difference. I recommend the Spieglmainn/Horntail
Necklace depending on your level. If you can,
try to go Zakum Hunting for it's helmet. It's
the best helmet in the whole game.
    *********************************************
    [4.3]: 3rd Job Training Areas:
    ----------------------------
    Sweet. Now I'm talking cool.

70~79: Hey, I got a tip, PQ! Pirate PQ
Guild PQ or whatever. Other than that, you
can train at the Minor and Coolie Zombies.
Try any monsters that you are okay with.

80+: Yeah, not much information about the
Training Areas. It's really up to you. If
you are comfortable with the monsters that
gives you at least 0.3%, it's all yours.
    My call.

120: SNAILS! I'm kidding, I leveled at snails
when i am just like 2 experience short until
    I leveled to 120.

Still not much information though. Sorry.
    *********************************************
    [5.0]: Shadower FTW!
    ----------------------------
If you don't know, the title was actually
    Shadower For the Win!

Are you bloodthirsty for more shadow-licking
power? You came to the right guide. I will show
you how to get that power.

First go to the same house where you got your
3rd Job. Start the quest Arec(yes, it was Arec,
i checked) has about 4th Job.

He will tell you to go to Leafre. Take his letter
and go to Leafre(from Orbis, 30,000 mesos). Once
there find your way to the Job Insrtuctors. I think
the 4th Job Instructor was Heilin. Ask other fellow
Maplers to help you or check up hidden-street.

Once you found Hellin, give her the letter. She will
tell you 3 stories. After she finish, she will tell
you to get 2 items. There is 2 ways to get it:

1.) Kill Manon or Griffey for them;they are bosses though.

2.) Take 10,000,000 mesos with you and go to the scroll
merchant in Eos Tower. Buy the Secret Spell Scroll for
10,000,000 mesos. Now go back to Leafre and ask the Chief
of the town and give him the scroll. He will reward you the
    Star and the Hex.

Now give Heilin the 2 items and ask about the advancement.
Click YES and *angel flash* you're a Shadower-the total
    master of all Bandits.

    Congratulation!

Note that i won't tell you how to make the build, test it
out to find which is right, so you don't have to ask me
    about it.

You got some serious SP waiting for you :).

    Read on for Shadower info.

I give you props for making a guide, i've been thinking about making several guides myself, just have not found the time to actually make one, but i will have to say i disagree with your build for the Chief Bandit. Not getting MG untill level 98 is one of the worst things you can do as a CB. You need the MG to be able to train properly with ME if you are funded for it. Elder Wraiths will 1shot you, and golbies arn't even close to as good of leveling as EWs are.

Since at the job advance, you get 1 SP, I suggest getting 1 in assaulter for the mobility, and keep using SB to train. When you hit 71, get 3 in Chakra. Level 72, get 2 in MG, and 1 in ME. After you hit 72, you should be able to go to Elder Wraiths since you can withstand the hit if you do get hit by them. Progressing from levels 72-82, max Band of Thieves, and then start maxing either:
    A) Assaulter B) Mesos Explosion or C) Mesos Guard
I personally think maxing ME after BoT will be more effective, but if you want to go the bombing way, you can max ME before BoT, but you can suffer in losing EXP in the 80's to something better than Wraiths that you could train with BoT.

This is just my personal experience, but other than that, nice job :)

It's a very well thought out guide, but your information is very misleading. "Being a STR or LUK Bandit?

    Here's the point:

    STR:
STR Bandit is less common than LUK Bandits due to the lack of
LUK:which means they have less damage. But that sacrifice
leads to more stable damage and able to save some serious
money. :) By the way, their daggers requires DEX and STR."

That is completely untrue. STR raises your main attack but not as much base attack as LUK does. Meaning your damage is more UNSTABLE than a regular DEX bandit.
But you are also STRONGER than a regular DEX bandit. An example is my friend and I, we're both Chief Bandits, but I'm a STR bandit and he's a DEX bandit. We both generally use the same equips, but our daggers are different. If we trade equips so we use the exact same ones, I still hit more than him with his equips and dagger.
We're both level 100, I hit 1300-2400s with Savage Blow, he hits 1400-2000 with Savage Blow.
