In FFX the game freezes right before the final boss sends a shockwave. I'm on a ship when this happens so I'm pretty close to the end of the game and this **** happens.
The game itself seems to work completely fine, I've had absolutely no problem with this game and continue to have no problem with it until I get to this scene. I can't even skip the scene.
So I'm wondering if it's possible to stop the freezing or to at least skip it.
Thanks in advance.
Hmm that's quite a strange problem. I guess the only solution now is to join the Glorious PC Gaming Master Race.
Spoiler!
But seriously, I've never heard of that problem. There might be a smudge or scratch on the disc, or the PS2 lens just might be wearing down... I think there's guides for cleaning up the disc, but I wouldn't know which ones to tell you to find(I only game on PC).

You are the best~~
Spoiler for those who didn't play the game.
I freeze at the transition in 3:51. I can hear the battle music but the screen is just black.
EDIT: I'm using a used game from EBGames, this was a while back that I bought this so I'm not sure what to do. I can't just ditch the game at the end. ;(
That's not the final boss.
Yeah, just as San-Lzu said, there may be a scratch or smudge or something that prevents it from continuing.

Dammit now I know it doesn't end at sin.
How do I clean the scratches?
Then this is where there is nothing more we can do for you.
All you can do now is buy a new one, keep trying, or keep cleaning.

What PS2 do you have? Slim or Phat?
Otherwise, find that receipt and replace it with a different copy of FFX. God knows how many copies are available for FFX
