Simple Rule: Go to the hairshop. Click VIP. If the hairstyle you want isn't in the VIP, it's considered EXP. And EXP is randomized chance of getting that hairstyle.

Can i add something. Exp randomly choose hairstyles for you even if you don't like it. Just like Claudia's Beauty and the Beast quest. Exp is cheaper in Cash Shop. And VIP lets you choose which hairstyle you want. Though it is more expensive in Cash Shop.

Also, there are some hairstyles that are exclusive to EXP coupons. That is, you cannot get them with VIP.
