I'm speaking for Sam so this may be entirely incorrect but......
I would guess Sam has a lot of pride in SK. It's like saying one of his family members died and now he is angry.
Lets say kholdstare's family comes in and murders a relative of yours in cold blood and in a gruesome manner for some family problems you two have been having over the past 20 years or so. What would your reaction be if Sam said "It's not a really big deal is it?"

SK and NK are very much in cold blood with eachother. It is a big deal, because this could potentially escalate to be another world war where more people die than any other war since we now have superior nuclear missiles.
