I rolled a pirate on one of the new servers, and only just today found out that the Demons dropped boots/gloves. Unfortunately, all I found regarding post-BB was speculation/doubt as to whether or not the Demons still dropped the gear. I'm going on my 500th kill right now, and was lucky enough to have a pair of gloves (no potential though, alas) fall into my lap around my 200th kill of Crocelle. I think it's reasonable to assume that Crocelle's drop table was left mostly unchanged from pre-BB, and further, that the rest of the Demons' drop tables carried over, too (the 5 class bosses, that is).
