I was at Jr Wraiths when I discovered that every time they missed me, the Strafe I fired afterwards was always a four-crit Strafe (my Dodge is maxed so 20% chance). Then I walked into Jr. Wraiths 50 times: 12 of which were misses. So surely this means that our level of avoidability is irrelevant in determining how many times we get hit once Dodge is obtained?

I'm honestly completely confused about the whole avoidability aspect. Misses happen not very often, even with max Focus. My guess is that they do stack on to each other but avoidability is pretty useless now. I'd just go off with you having a 25% chance to avoid being hit (Avoid + Dodge I guess).

I thought Dodge was broken because it seemed that even low level monsters hit me a lot even with max Dodge and my NL friend claimed that Shadow Shifter is working quite a bit less often than it did before Big Bang. And I don't notice the critical because all I use is Cane but it says that the next attack is critical in the description. Either way I think they broke Avoidability more than it was already broken.

I got an SP reset in the event yesterday and carried out some more tests:

Maxed Dodge and No Focus (897 avoid): 20/50 were misses
Maxed Dodge and Maxed Focus (977 avoid): Again 20/50 were misses
No Dodge and Maxed Focus (977 avoid): 9/50 were misses

In conclusion: Get Dodge.

(This was on a level 5 monster so it begs the question why were there only 9/50 misses with such a high avoid rate?)

I'd only say that avoidability and accuracy are broken and don't matter for much. Missing with a crit afterwards is nice though. Focus is a useless skill now shamefully =<
