    Default super noobie newb question

    hi... i came back to maplestory after a 2 year absence and i'm planning on creating a new char right now.

    my question is if do i have to still change job to a mage at level 8 to maximize the max mp? i've read somewhere that i can already unlock increase max mp at level 8 compared to back those days that i have to get mp recovery 1st and then max mp increase. thanks for the replies.

    You SHOULD advance at 8 for skill purposes, but it's not necessary. They changed the Max MP skill to give a set amount (+20%, I think) of MP at any point. It's basically a passive HB, but weaker and only for MP, so to speak.
