    You could use another copy of Windows 7 to perform the second option, except be sure to copy down your Windows 7 serial key and other potentially important information.

    Cross that deleting it triggers this as well.
    That's a weird way of checking for drivers. Rightclick My Computer -> Manage, and there should be a list of drivers and stuff. Look up the model number of your computer (for example, Dell Dimension 2400 is my oldest), and get the appropriate driver. If not, get a new graphics card.
