What is Spiral Knights?

Basically a Zelda-esque hack and slash MMO, which can be played solo(create your own party, invite only), or with up to 3 other people(max of 4 per party). Only "leveling up" in this game revolves around leveling up your equipment by completing a floor of a dungeon.

Spiral Knights' data is stored in a hidden folder "Application Data" and actually takes about 440MB of hard drive space.

Newbie Notes:

Spoiler!

• Names cannot have two capital letters in succession (i.e. "DDrgn") and may contain ONE hyphen. Need at least two letters to use a hyphen. "D-Drgn" does not work, but "Dd-Ddd" would.
• Character creation doesn't really matter, since you'll buy new armor eventually which will change your appearance. Only thing that's truly permanent is the eye color you select during character creation.
• Currency in this game is "crowns."
• Each "dungeon" requires "energy" in the form of Mist Energy(ME) and/or Crystal Energy(CE). Max Mist Energy is 100, and CE is technically infinite(you can buy as much as you need/are willing to get).
• You can have up to 3 characters, but they all SHARE the same ME. CE is NOT shared.
• You CAN buy more CE, with real cash OR in-game currency, but it costs a lot of crowns(3000+) to do so.
• It's very similar to Zelda, because you have a sword with three attacks by default, and you can hold down the attack button for a "charge" attack. You even have a shield for blocking. You have a gun and can also use bombs(act more like landmines; not given by default).

So who's interested? I've only solo'd a bit so far, but I only started playing a couple of days ago. It's pretty much a mindless "hack-and-slash," but probably more fun with buddies.

Yeah, it really isn't that bad for a java game. I don't have too much energy left though.

WHICH BRINGS UP A GOOD POINT. You can make up to three different characters, but they all SHARE CE. ;_;

If Puzzle Pirates didn't have all of the payment stuff, it would have been a great game, not that it isn't right now.
