Each herb or ore is part of two groups. The color group, and the type group. This means that if you find an ore of one color, it's highly likely that the map also spawns a corresponding vein of that color (i.e. red vein, red flower). Also, if you find a specific color, it's highly likely that you will find it's matching counter part in the same map (silver-magenta, brown-blue, gold-emerald, aquamarine-red, black-purple, etc.). In addition, it should be noted that most maps do spawn both herbs and ores, but may not necessarily display this characteristic since there are limited spawn points. Finally, maps near one another may sometimes share some or all ore/vein types. Therefore, if you see a color you need, chances are one of the nearby maps have those veins or herbs as well.

P.S. Gold Flowers should not be confused with Gold Herbs. I think that Gold Flowers are the herbalist counterpart to Heart Stones which may, I believe, spawn anywhere.

When checking channels, please go through this check list. If the answer is yes, go to the next number. No, go to the next subsection
1) Check that a map has both veins and herbs
2) Check for color pairs (meaning both veins and herbs of a single color)
3) Check for type pairs (color pairs that seem to spawn together i.e. emerald-gold or magenta-silver)
4) Make sure you change channels a couple times to double check all your info.

It was made by someone from basilmarket, and it seems to be completely accurate so far I have checked! Confirm it for a few more maps, and if it's accurate I think you could just put it in like that without checking every map.
Maps that don't follow this pattern, if any, could be manually edited.

I read the info on the picture and from my experiences, this guy has actually figured out the mechanics of how flower/vein spawning works. So there is no need to state which maps and so forth, would just need to reference every map of which monsters they have in it and what level, and just group it with the appropiate flowers/veins that should pair up with those monsters in the map



EDIT: So I was checking if what the Screenshot was true AGAIN, and it seems like there are some weird holes in what the person says, majority of what the person said is correct but at some maps, veins and flowers spawn that arent correlated to the level of the monster

(Example: Sunset Road: The Desert of Serenity, monsters are level 77 and 84, the correct flowers and veins spawned there yet other colors also spawned as well like a silver vein, even though a silver vein is suppose to be related to monsters ending with 1 or 2 in the Ones Digit)

I'll try looking into this more (Didnt take a SS because I realized something wasnt right AFTER I mined out the silver vein -.-')

EDIT #2: So I finally have a screenshot now and yeah. If you notice near the bottom right, there is a blue vein but blue veins are suppose to be correlated to monsters ending with the digits 2 & 3 in their level. So what the person stated is mostly correct but there is likely more to the spawning.

From the image: If there are multiple monsters with different levels in the map, herbs and veins will spawn as if all monsters in between the levels are also spawned.

I suppose that means that in that map, it would spawn herbs and veins as if level 77, 78, 79, 80, 81, 82, 83 and 84 monsters are all there,

I went back to that map and indeed found it to spawn every herb related to all those levels.

Just as a quick update, even with the mechanisms that Fatalflames has described, there are some "holes" in the theory for certain maps. We'll still go ahead with updating each individual map with its own respective herbs/veins - in fact, we're in the process of doing so, so you may see most Victoria Island maps and some Ludibrium maps updated with this info.

The majority of the maps that I have seen follow the rule provided by FatalFlame's link. I think it would be safe to follow the rule given in updating the database initially and then have people report in if they find a problem with a specific map.
