    Default Good internet.

    Hey guys.

As a LOT of you know, we here deal with the curse of the HughesNet. A curse put upon us for moving to a rural area. I call upon thee to help me find decent internet out here. We don't have any lines running down our road that would signify broadband. Electric and phone, that is it. I am looking for maybe a wireless internet plan like...AT&T, or Verizon? I am not sure. Which is why I am asking you. We want a plan that will not have a data cap, and MAYBE 1.5 mbps. But we sit at 368kb/sec usually, so it won't seem much different. We never have a Ping lower than 900, even if we connect a server 1 mile from here. Because it is beamed up in to space, and sent back down. I don't know what, but we're paying $85 a month. so Anything the same or cheaper would work. We don't need Home phone or internet to go along. We get 475mb per day, so that equates to about 12 gigs a month. If I buy BF3, I'd need at least 15gb a month. So try to find one WITHOUT a cap, if possible. It seems hard, but I hope you all can help. Also, we have....no more than 5 to 7 devices connected here at once, so 7 max devices would work, maybe even 5.

Please, do help. And do NOT say "Move". Because that is NOT an option. Thanks.

if moving is not an option, you may consider saving up to have a cable company get you a line... depending on how long you plan on living there it may be worth it...

most cell phone service providers' internet plans are terrible... slow speed, low data caps... I think 1.5mbps is higher than you'd find with such a plan... then again, I've never got a plan myself...

In order to get any broadband out here, it would cost between $35,000 and $45,000.

    (Calls upon the spirits)

Oh great spirits of the internet, lend me your aid! Thor, mighty master of storms and electricity, give me some juice! Metal element of the Tai Chi'en, aid in the computer's solid parts. Ummm, other deities and spirits, do... something...

Nope. Same problem here. Type in Heathsville VA to any IP speed search and watch it laugh off the answer. Any answers you get, please email to me. Try hijacking someone with a better connection, or plugging up extenders to make your house not lose connection in dead parts.

I don't have a decent internet connection. It makes it hard to play, watch videos and download stuff. It's so sad :c

I once lived on the outskirts, where for some reason I was terribly catching the Internet, and no one wanted to lay a cable. It was embarrassing, to say the least

I believe that it would be better for you to contact specialists and ask them to help you with this issue because I don't think you'll be able to fix everything yourself. I contacted experts even when I needed to fix slow internet, and I can tell you that they solve any problems pretty fast, so it won't take them long to find a solution for you as well.

I think that in this situation you need a proper provider or a special router that will be helping with it.
