    Default About Skill Damages

I've never gotten this or bothered to understand since I started, but now I'm actually caring due to actually playing with thought.

When a skill says "Hits X times for Y%" does that mean it does:
    A) X * Y% damage, with Y% represents the damage of a single hit
    B) Y% damage over X hits and thus (Y% / X) gives % damage per hit

For example: "Deals 6 very quick consecutive attacks to a monster - Level 20: MP -26, Damage: 90%"
So does this mean it does
    A) 6 * 90% and each hit is 90%?
    or
    B) 90% / 6 = 15% damage each hit?

I get the feeling if I cared more about math I'd not need to post this question.
    Well isn't that interesting?
What's this? You bothered to highlight my sig? You're very bored then, aren't you? Ha. Ha. Ha.

Don't max chaos lock, you barely use it and sometimes it takes you places you didn't want to go. In the end you'll have 13/15 SP in chaos lock so it's near-max.
