[Silent Crusade] Forest Tyrant

For once, a non-self-explanatory title.

So, I've been trying to do the Silent Crusade on my DB, and I'm up to the quest from Starling where you need to kill Leviathan in Leafre. So, I went to Leafre, and talked to Starling and accepted the quest. Then I went to the MMP in Wyvern Canyon and killed Leviathan. But the quest notification didn't pop up, and it didn't show I killed it in my quest log either. Tried again like 5 more times, and my quest log still says "Leviathan 0/1".

I tried forfeiting the quest: "You cannot forfeit this quest."
I tried going to the MMP that the next boss (Dodo) is in: "The MMP will not open for you."
I tried turning in the quest at starling: "Keep trying. Sooner or later, you'll get Leviathan down."
I tried killing the non-MMP Leviathan: Still nothing.

In my Silent Crusade book tab thing though, it says it's clear. It even has the stamp thing on it, that came up after I killed it the first time. Why the hell won't it register in my quest log!?
