I believed that was the old fashioned way of writing chinese before it was changed to Simplified/Traditional

This. I've tried writing chinese characters before and it looked ugly.

(I'm gonna draw something later, try to work on layering techniques)

I'm gonna try this. Wish meh luck.

First draft sketch. I'll work on the full color version once I correct certain details.

Mostly the wings. And violin being at a screwy angle. (There, I rotated it)

Pfft. The best chinese is written by taiwanese. We don't use that simplified crap.

You couldn't rotate or take a picture of the drawing from the right direction? Well, it doesn't look terrible but looks kind of lazy.

China developed the language first, and when Taiwan became independent they started using it. Traditional Chinese was already part of China

Oh, I can rotate if you want. But it was just a draft, which I finished in about 15 min (I don't draw those models you see in art books, I do everything freehand, using the drawing itself as a model to paint over, in I use anything at all).

This on the other hand, took 3 hours.

Sketched out a model (mainly because there were so many layers), and did each layer out. Still kinda off but I'm an amateur.

I actually prefer the sketch. This was mainly to work with layers, but it was kinda blobby in places (I use Cray-Pas, which is sorta a strange combination of the general feel of charcoal, crayons, and oil pastel). Also, I hate working with wings.
