This is a good laptop for daily uses except heavy gaming.
forgive me if this is in the wrong place. I'm just looking for some help on finding a good laptop.
I found one but I want to know if its a good laptop.
I will mostly be using it to play maple story, surf the web, play games on Facebook. I won't be doing any heavy gaming like WoW or anything like that.
Here are the specs to the computer
PROCESSOR : 3rd Generation Intel® Core™ i5-3210M processor (3M Cache, up to 3.1 GHz)
OPERATING SYSTEM: Windows® 7 Home Premium, 64Bit, English
MEMORY: 6GB Shared Dual Channel DDR3 Memory
HARD DRIVE: 500GB 5400 RPM SATA Hard Drive
VIDEO CARD: Intel® HD Graphics 4000
I was told by a tech that the laptop runs a 2.5ghz processor and that the UP to 3.1ghz is the turbo that kicks in if it needs to.
I want to make sure that aside from the other things I do on the net that it can handle playing Maple.
I know people say to get a desktop but I want a laptop. So please let me know if this is a good computer
thanks for all your help and feedback!

ok that's good to know. I don't think Maple is considered heavy gaming, So do you think it will run Maple smoothly without so much lag? I know there are other factors involved like internet speed and all that but I just want to be sure.

With these system specs, Maple can run smoothly depending on your graphics. If it does get laggy, put it on lower quality. Then vice versa.

Maple should have no problem running on that laptop. I had a lenovo laptop without a GPU but was still a dual core, and had no problems. Again, as Thart said, don't expect to run any modern gaming at all.
With an Intel 4000 you can definitely run whatever Valve makes (Source engine games like TF2, Portal, etc.)
Butts.

Yeah, trying not to repost what the others said.. but it does look "good."
Quotes for as they said, no "heavy" gaming. but I don't expect you to have a $250 headset and 45 games you play hardcore every day.
I managed Maple just fine on a laptop worse than that, that was about 8 years old. You've got plenty of hard drive space for videos, pictures, and any other things people tend to load their laptops with. I played TF2 and LoL on a Intel HD 3000, which is worse than that, and they worked fine. So if you like the cosmetics, and the specs look good to us, I'd say go for it. :P
What brand is that laptop by the way? If it's HP, you'd better run before it fails.
