Default ALL PURPOSE YouTube/video media player issues thread

OK, so I want YouTube to do its thing and always start automatically.

    I have firefox btw.

It was working fine until one day video starts automatically as usual, but stops seconds in and then I have to start over. its very annoying. Anyone know the problem and pssibly solution?

    I tried deleting cookies.

If the videos do start when the page loads but after a few seconds into the video it stops, it's probably not buffering correctly and that's probably due to a slow connection. Either youtube is being slow (it happens), or your internet is being slow. Just wait a bit and I think the network issues will clear up.

In the meantime try running CCleaner to clear your browser's cache as well.
    Butts.

But see thats the thing. I start again and it buffers correctly, no delays, no loading in the middle of the video nothing.

If you're on Win7, you can try a system restore to before the problem occurred. You probably won't lose much, and it might fix the problem.

    http://www.youtube.com/html5

I had huge issues when youtube auto toggled html5 on for me, check on that page and see if you're in the trial or not. If you are leave it to go back to flash. Otherwise completely uninstall flash and reinstall the newest version.

Also, welcome back to the forum you big nig.

I know that YT videos have been having issues on my computer and laptop when I change resolution type and when it goes full screen. Not sure if it's due to adobe flash player, or it's just Firefox in general.

    Well I tried buddy. :(

If it were me and it was still screwing up. Would back up my bookmarks, completely uninstall firefox and do a fresh reinstall as the last resort. Not sure if you're willing to do that.
