    Can Atlantic City Electric make me pay for a previous tenant’s outstanding bill of someone who rented before me?

    To be honest, I don't think it's legal. It would be better to contact atlantic city electric customer service and figure out all the details. In case they make you pay a previous tenant's outstanding bill - consult a lawyer. There are many experienced specialists now so it wouldn't be a problem.
