I like to experiment a little when it comes to building my characters. I try not to use the guides at all.

I don't follow guides because they tell you what to do, You aren't supposed to be told to do in games. Games get bad reviews if they are linear. Also why follow a guide by someone who is a lower level than you? I'll just go with the flow and get advice In Game from higher leveled warriors than me, not some stupid Walkthrough.

Guides are not necessarily telling you what to do. They point you in the right way. I read plenty of guides, I don't 'follow' them. I make my own modifications and ways to improve it.

Guides are also not always correct and can be positively misleading. This is why it's best to ask seasoned players in-game which are at least of level seventy of the class you seek to become.

Another thing is those guides you listed include several different variations of warrior. This means you can't define which is right, for they say all classes are equal. Firstly, choose spearman, page or fighter and I'll try my best to set you straight.

As a newbie I read a minimum of 2 guides to the char build and some others for beginners.
Then I go into the game... in the end it is a mixture of the guides and my own way to play.
Well, I am not do brave to find my "own" way of using up skill/stat points which differ much from what is decribed in guides though. With this I mean for example is dex needed and so on.

Making 'cookie cutter' builds are unoriginal, tweak it a bit.

The only thing I use guilds are for better understanding of the skills, and where to put points, and I even change that a bit. >.> Like for my level 23 warrior I have 65+1 STR and 60 DEX, I don't think any guild suggests that. <.<

Zap mate, I respect your creativity, but I'd rather follow a guide than do that, no offence.

Well I want to PQ as soon as possible, and I can still barely hit Ligators, with more DEX, I'll be able to hit them more often, and besides, I'd eventually have to get that much. It's like what I did on my Archer, I set hit STR on 35 right away, and just put everything on DEX, I'll have to put some more in next level though.
