Uninstall the drivers, unplug the printer from the pc, turn off the pc, turn it back on, plug it back into the pc and let it find drivers on its own
XP has HP Deskjet drivers from the git-go, if I remember correctly
Ever since, I got this new desktop, I've been trying to install my printer on to it. When I put the disk in and it goes through system requirements, it says it cannot "run as" and I need to be the computer administrator which I am. Also, it says my drivers need to updated so I can run the printer on my computer. But when I go to find the printer on the HP website, it's not there.
It's HP Deskjet D2345.
Halp!

Do you have Vista or XP? I don't know about your case but some people have horrid problems with older printers working with Vista.
Oh yeah, I always forget to ask about Vistaids or not.
You should upgrade to XP.
